The Ford Mustang Dark Horse SC Convertible has arrived with 795 horsepower and a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 engine. Ford has taken the performance of the Dark Horse SC coupe and transformed it into a powerful open-air grand touring Mustang.
The Dark Horse SC Convertible produces 795 horsepower and 660 pound-feet of torque, sending power to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. While the engine output remains unchanged from the coupe, Ford Racing engineers gave the convertible its own suspension setup with MagneRide dampers, unique springs, and sway bars.
The chassis also receives additional reinforcement, including a magnesium tower-to-tower brace. Ford even modified the aerodynamics to account for the different airflow created by the soft-top roof, including changes to the hood vent and rear wing mounting system.
Another highlight is the new Precision Purple exterior color, which changes its appearance depending on the lighting. Pricing has not been announced yet, although the 2026 Dark Horse SC coupe starts at $108,085 including destination, meaning the convertible is expected to command an even higher price.
