This leitmotif is first heard in act 2 scene 4 of Die Walkure.

This motif represents Death. It is formed from two motifs, the first bar is the Curse motif, and the next two bars are Fate. This motif is not heard every time someone dies, but is heard as Wotan orders Siegmind's death, and subsequently both when he and Siegfried die.
