This tutorial explains how to perform a four point anti-spin with a staff.
You can do this movement using a Bo staff however it is best performed with the Jo staff due to the correct proportions to the body.
The shape formed by this antispin is a type of Hypocycloid called a Tetracuspid, meaning 4 cusps. This also known as an Astroid or Cubocycloid in Mathematics.
The same principles from this movement can be applied to clubs or other object manipulation props. This a common move used in Flow arts however there are martial applications buried within the movements.
