Sharing some simple ideas for creating transitions between musical layers & ideas in modular synth patches (other than turning volume up / down), to help create more movement, variation, & structure in your music:
âĄď¸ use FX on specific voices (rather than only on the final mix) to bring specific voices / elements into and out of focus
âĄď¸ use filters to bring voices in and out instead of VCAs, to add tension and a sense of momentum
âĄď¸ mix multiple CV sources together (like a sequence + an LFO, for example!) to create variation even within a single voice
