A man was shot and killed late Wednesday night at the Mira Bella Apartments on Imperial Valley Drive in Houston after multiple shots were fired just before midnight. Deputies and EMS responded to the scene and found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds; despite lifesaving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Homicide detectives are interviewing witnesses and reviewing surveillance footage while investigating reports that a vehicle fled the area. The victim’s mother said her 21-year-old son was shot 29 times by a female suspect while he was on the ground and believes he may have been set up after several people were seen taking photos with him before the shooting. A witness said he heard gunfire and later saw deputies performing CPR on the victim.
