Houston police are investigating a shooting that left a man wounded early Friday morning in northeast Houston. Around 1:50 a.m., officers responded to a shooting call at the 7300 block of North Wayside and found a man in his mid-30s suffering from four gunshot wounds to the arm. He was transported by Houston Fire Department crews to a hospital in stable condition. Investigators said two families, including parents and teenagers, became involved in an argument over alleged relationships involving each other's spouses. During the confrontation, members of both groups reportedly pulled out firearms and exchanged gunfire. Three persons of interest—a woman and two juveniles—were detained for questioning, but investigators have not identified the shooter. Police also learned there had been an earlier 911 call involving the same families over a potential fight. Detectives with HPD Major Assaults searched both apartments involved and recovered one firearm as the investigation continues.
