In this video I take an eBay saw from ok to quite good in about 20-minutes. While I did have to rework the teeth, and I will need to go back and do some reshaping even, the difference that it made to tune-up and sharpen the saw is astounding.

I noticed about a 40% improvement in saw performance after sharpening.

Real quick note: I originally just filed the teeth but found that it was binding and catching a little. Binding is usually a problem with set; catching is usually a problem with teeth height and uniformity (meaning they need jointed). So I went ahead and jointed, re-filed, and re-set. After that it worked much better!

I hope you enjoy the video and that it was useful!

Take care,
Andrew
