The new 2027 Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 is here with 35-inch tires, serious off-road hardware, and an aggressive new design. This Apex Red truck gives us a close look at how Chevrolet has transformed its toughest Silverado 1500.
The 2027 Silverado ZR2 combines a 2-inch factory suspension lift with massive 35-inch mud-terrain tires, front and rear electronic locking differentials, and Multimatic DSSV dampers. Chevrolet has also added jounce dampers to help the truck remain controlled when tackling demanding terrain at higher speeds.
The redesigned Silverado introduces a new generation of engines, including new 5.7-liter and 6.6-liter V8 options, while the 3.0-liter Duramax turbo-diesel inline-6 continues. Inside, the ZR2 receives a more modern cabin featuring forged carbon fiber trim, Torch Red accents, upgraded displays, and additional technology.
Finished in Apex Red, the new Silverado ZR2 has an aggressive stance that matches its upgraded off-road capability. With 35-inch tires and serious trail hardware straight from the factory, Chevrolet appears ready to make the ZR2 an even stronger competitor in the performance off-road truck market.
