The 2027 Hyundai Tucson N could finally turn Hyundai's popular crossover into a genuine N performance machine. Early information points toward approximately 300 horsepower, hybrid power, and a much more aggressive design.
Unlike previous Tucson generations that were available with the sportier N Line package, the upcoming 5th generation Tucson is expected to introduce a full N performance model. That could mean major changes to the suspension, brakes, chassis tuning, steering, wheels, aerodynamics, and exhaust system.
Preliminary information suggests the 2027 Hyundai Tucson N could feature a 1.6 liter turbocharged gasoline engine combined with an electric motor positioned at the rear axle. Combined output is expected to be around 300 horsepower, potentially giving the Tucson N electrically assisted all wheel drive and considerably more performance than the current Tucson Hybrid.
The renderings also imagine a more aggressive front bumper, larger wheels, sporty side skirts, body colored wheel arches, and a redesigned rear bumper featuring 2 large round exhaust outlets.
Nothing is official yet, so the final production design and specifications could change. However, if Hyundai gives the Tucson the same performance focused treatment seen on other N models, this could become one of the most interesting new performance crossovers.
