The 2026 BYD Xia positions itself as BYD’s flagship mid-to-large luxury MPV, built to rival premium people movers such as the Toyota Alphard while emphasizing advanced electrification and long-distance usability. It adopts BYD’s 5th-generation DM-i plug-in hybrid system, combining a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 115 kW (154 hp) with a powerful 200 kW (268 hp) electric motor. Buyers can choose between a 20.39 kWh LFP Blade battery offering around 100 km of electric range or a larger 36.6 kWh Blade battery that extends pure electric driving to 218 km (CLTC), with total combined range exceeding 1,163 km.
