The NIO ES9 is an upcoming full-size luxury electric SUV positioned as one of China’s largest battery-electric SUVs, measuring approximately 5,365 mm in length. Designed with a focus on space and premium comfort, it features a 6-seater layout and is built on an advanced 900V electrical architecture. Power comes from a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system delivering an impressive 520 kW (around 697 hp), enabling strong performance alongside a refined driving experience. The ES9 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in about 4.3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 220 km/h, placing it firmly in the high-performance luxury SUV category.
The SUV is equipped with a 102 kWh battery pack developed with CATL, offering a driving range of up to 620 km (CLTC), which translates to roughly 385 miles. Thanks to its 900V platform, it supports ultra-fast charging, allowing a full charge in around 44 minutes, while also maintaining compatibility with NIO’s signature battery-swap technology for added convenience. Its large dimensions, combined with a long wheelbase, ensure generous cabin space and comfort for all passengers, making it ideal for long-distance travel and executive use.
Inside, the ES9 delivers a highly advanced and luxurious environment, featuring a 360° smart five-zone climate control system and a built-in intelligent fridge with a temperature range from -2°C to 55°C. The cabin is packed with technology, including multiple Dolby Vision AMOLED displays, headrest-integrated speakers, and a premium entertainment setup. It also stands out with cutting-edge engineering such as steer-by-wire, rear-wheel steering, and the SkyRide fully active suspension system for superior ride comfort and handling. Safety and autonomous capabilities are enhanced by a suite of 31 sensors, including three LiDAR units and powerful dual Shenji NX9031 chips, supporting advanced driver assistance and high-level autonomous driving features.
