NOTE: The wood screw in the video can be taken to flush by a power tool; my basic 8 volt drill can do that (in cedar). The screwdriver is not made to counter sink wood screws. Counter sinking would mean the second step after the initial pilot hole.
USER ERROR: That brings me to an important point - that many a Philips driver has met its end by being MISAPPLIED. I believe many users of this $2 tool destroyed it using it on wood projects. Think fir wood; either no pilot hole or counter sink try (attempted flush).
The Pittsburgh 6-n-1 is engineered for screws with a FLAT BOTTOM. Or the plastic or metal is counter sunk already. It is best used on disassembly of plastic and metal items inside your home or shop. When the screw head contacts and stops rotating, you stop.
Without COUNTER SINKING HARD WOOD, a screwdriver has no business going near a wood screw to that END - taking the screw to flush on wood.
