Here's a demonstration of gameplay on Stern's Lectronamo.
It might not be the most amazing pinball machine ever made, but it remains one of my all-time favourite machines.
Built in 1978, Lectronamo was the first Stern to feature electronic sound instead of the traditional chimes. All of the pinball manufacturers had started building solid state machines by 1978 and nearly all had moved to electronic sound boards.
Lectronamo was designed by Mike Kubin, the designer of most of Stern's early solid state machines.
This game is fun for players with great shots from both the right and left flipper. The drop targets are perfectly placed, the spinner is super fun to murder and the kick-big lane at the top left is a unique shot to aim for.
I really can't say enough about this machine. It's captured my heart. I bought this particular unit at the Allentown show in 2007 and brought it back to life quickly. I sold it a year and a half later, but missed it so much I bought it back a year after that.
