TelevisionVanguard | 1973-74 Television Season 50th Anniversary: Here's Lucy (Lucy Ball & Gale Gordon- Merv 10/12/73 pt7) @TelevisionVanguard | Uploaded 2 months ago | Updated 4 hours ago
Monday night - must be a Lucy television night on CBS.
We continue our look back at the 1973-1974 television season, with a focus on the remarkable television career of Lucille Ball, whose series Here's Lucy, was coming to an end as it reached the end of its six year run.
Lucille made a special guest appearance on The Merv Griffin Show, appearing with her family, and some extra special surprise guests joining them (Bob Hope & Gale Gordon).
The interview episode was aired on October 17, 1973, and book-ended two key interviews she gave during that final season - this one with Merv, and a second with Dick Cavett in the winter of 1974, which we paid tribute to last month.
This seventh segment of eight is for this special interview, and this one features Lucy and Gale Gordon, reminiscing about their careers and working together.
This video clip is presented here on YouTube for the entertainment and informational value of the viewer, and no copyright infringement is intended.
Enjoy ! We really love this family and friends interview with Merv, and is the perfect compliment to the later interview she gave one-on-one in early 1974 with Dick Cavett.
Parts 8 will be forthcoming in the next day or so.
