Here we've got a 1962 Williams World Series pitch 'n' bat machine in action. This is one in a long line of P&B's from Williams. Their famous "running man unit" in the backbox made these games very popular in their day. They are quite immersive and offer a great baseball simulation.
This is a single-player game which features three ramps for hitting a home run along with the "super home run" hole which is very difficult to actually make. Hitting a grand slam adds a letter in "world series" and completing the name provides 5 credits. This is a "carry over feature" from game to game and is designed to keep those coins coming. Hitting the super home run hole also serves up 5 credits and gives an extra inning for extended play time.
