The first Gran Premio Campioni was held in 1930 at Monza. The race was won by Tazio Nuvolari driving an Alfa Romeo 8C 2300. Nuvolari was a legendary Italian racing driver and is widely regarded as one of the greatest drivers of all time. He won the Gran Premio Campioni four times in a row, from 1930 to 1933.
The last Gran Premio Campioni was held in 1934. The race was won by Rudolf Caracciola driving a Mercedes-Benz W25. Caracciola was a German racing driver who was also one of the greatest drivers of his era. He dominated the race finishing over two minutes ahead of the second-place finisher.
The Gran Premio Campioni was a prestigious race and attracted the best drivers and teams in the world. It was also a very challenging race, with long distances and fast speeds. The race was discontinued after 1934, when the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) began organizing the World Drivers' Championship.
