This is a nice clock that the case was starting to fall apart. Maybe age, maybe dropped, I don't really know. The movement was good to go but I oiled the movement anyway because you should oil your clocks every 5 to 7 years to prevent the oil from drying out, turning to gum and stopping your clock. The case is what needed the most work.

Here I do most of my work on clocks. Mainly cuckoo clocks, yet I am always looking for the unusual and eye catching clocks. Some of the clocks I get into are ones that need saved from the dump. They fell off the wall from not securing the clock to the wall using the stud behind the sheetrock. Some of the clocks were laid to rest out in the garage or barn and I except the challenge of getting them back together again.
A well loved clock at one time is one that has a lot of wear and you find old bushings that might need to be replaced.
