This clock, I found out was sold as a kit to my understanding. Just so happen the one that built this clock had a metal tag put on the base with his name on it. He must have been proud of the clock and so am I. Front and rear plates are photochemically "machined", Hermle "skeleton" movement.

Here I do most of my work on clocks. Mainly cuckoo clocks, yet I am always looking for the unusual and eye catching clocks. Some of the clocks I get into are ones that need saved from the dump. They fell off the wall from not securing the clock to the wall using the stud behind the sheetrock. Some of the clocks were laid to rest out in the garage or barn and I except the challenge of getting them back together again.
A well loved clock at one time is one that has a lot of wear and you find old bushings that might need to be replaced.
