This was a tungsten mine, but the prospectors were seeking their fortune in silver and gold in 1915.
A mill was constructed in the 1930s and water was piped across the valley in 1935 delivering 100 gallons of water per minute. The mill operated 24/7 with the men working 3 shifts, and treated between 45 to 60 tons of ore daily. Production stopped in 1938 and the site was sold in 1941. A tramway was planned from the mill to the tunnels, and mining continued until 1950ish.
