Now used by campers and backpackers, this once beautiful homestead has been adopted by volunteers who help maintain the structures. If one finds themselves stranded for any time, life-saving water and non-perishable foods can be found in the cupboards.
These “volunteer” cabins are not only a part of history; they can save lives. It is imperative that we keep the structures safe from vandals.
Anyone can stay in these cabins. Fly the flag to let others know they are occupied (remember to take it down when leaving). Leave the cabins cleaner than you found them, and restock the food whenever possible.
