The US Air Force built this massive complex just outside the town of Green River, Utah. From 1964 to 1973, a total of 244 missiles were launched, 141 of which were Athena Missiles.
The missiles were assembled on-site in a temperature-controlled environment enclosure and could achieve altitudes of 186.4 miles with speeds of 6700 to their destination in New Mexico - over 400 miles away.
Now, this sprawling complex lies abandoned.
