What 15-year-old kid is able to start their own business and purchase their own CNC equipment? Not many, but Stone Hendrickson from Stuck Up Archery has. His interest started when his uncle got him into archery, and Stone noticed that the archery pins were painful to push in. He started making them on his 3D printer, but he thought he could do better, so with the money from his 3D printed pins he was able to purchase a PCNC 440 to start making them out of metal. It also helped that the PCNC 440 was easy to afford, and can go anywhere. He used the classes from TITANS of CNC: Academy to add to his skills.

Everyone at Tormach was buzzing when we heard about Stone when he started to call to talk to the Tormach Technical Support staff. So intrigued that we just had to go out and meet him for an interview! In addition to the archery pins, this high schooler is also a knife maker. Eventually, he wants to own his own job shop and make aerospace parts. This kid has ambition and has a bright future as the next generation of machine owners.

Stone's story reinforces Tormach's motto: we're here to help you make things.
