That turte is named Jean Louis. He's estimated to be 135 years old.
Fun fact: he's as old as the Eiffel Tower. He was born in the Bois de Vincennes zoo. He was once owned by Henri Matisse and is featured on many paintings by fauvist artists. During the Paris exposition of 1900 he had his own pavilion. During WW1 he was evacuated to Marseille.
Since then he's been just living a quiet life in the Seine river though he was often photographed being flanked by Brigitte Bardot and Alain Delon in the wild 1960s. He has resurfaced again for the reopening of Notre-dame cathedral next week.
