General Strategy: Secure southern island as soon as possible, securing funds for a strong push into Eagle’s territory. COs with a reduced direct offense will have to deal with surviving units by forcing Eagle to join wounded units together.

Fifth Map: Pivot Isle, a small/medium map primarily focused on ground/air combat. Docks are present if one decides to take that route. There are four landmasses, two starting peninsulas and two islands accessible by long bridges. A Factory Base is to the south with an Airport, and Seaport (Wharf), you should have a good early advantage in terms of capturing neutral bases.

The enemy CO here is Eagle, the daring pilot from Green Earth, who is well-tailored for this map due to two starting airports in his territory.

[War Room]
In War Room Players are put in maps wherein they must defeat enemies who are usually given an advantage at the start. War Room is a game mode found in Advance Wars, Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising and Advance Wars: Dual Strike. It features several maps which usually put the player at an initial disadvantage against one or multiple allied COs. Most War Room maps start without units on the map, making the player and AI rely on properties to purchase them. The amount of properties on a map can vary; small maps such Spann Island contain 21 of them, while maps such as Ring Islands have 82.

Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising is a turn-based strategy video game for the Game Boy Advance. It was developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo in 2003. It is the second game in the Advance Wars sub-series of Nintendo Wars. It is preceded by Advance Wars and followed by Advance Wars: Dual Strike. Despite being developed in the region, the original Japanese release was canceled, but the game was later released in the region alongside the original Advance Wars as part of a compilation cartridge called Game Boy Wars Advance 1+2 in 2004. At E3 2021, Nintendo announced that Black Hole Rising, alongside the original Advance Wars, would be remade and released together for the Nintendo Switch by WayForward in another compilation titled Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp.

Black Hole Rising is nearly identical to the previous game in terms of core gameplay; there was only a small change in overall graphical style and some small content additions. Black Hole has gathered forces to invade Macro Land under the command of Sturm, who led the invasion of Cosmo Land. The protagonists, the Allied Nations, cooperate once again to drive the Black Hole forces out of Macro Land once and for all.
