![UE5 Ball Rolling Game – Part 2 Jumping, Surface Tags & Air Control
Part 2 of the Ball Rolling Game series is here!
In this Unreal Engine 5 Blueprint tutorial, we add jumping to our ball, control where it can jump using surface tags, and adjust air damping for smoother mid-air movement.
You’ll learn how to:
🔹 Add a physics-based jumping force
🔹 Use Actor and Component Tags to determine which surfaces allow jumping
🔹 Prevent multi-jump exploits by checking grounded state
🔹 Adjust linear damping to simulate air resistance
🔹 Make jumping feel responsive and controllable
This continues our full Ball Rolling Game project built entirely with Blueprints.
🎮 Next Episode (Part 3): Slopes, acceleration, and speed control!
