An important game is not necessarily obviously influential, nor is it necessarily anyone’s favorite game. They are important, but important doesn’t mean they sell well or are successful. In fact, in some ways, being successful is inconsequential to how important a title really is.There is an argument to be made that any game that anyone plays is important in the fabric of gaming history. It’s a Psych 101 type of argument, in that we build our future games by standing on the shoulders of the games before them.
