Before you try to string me up, let me clarify exactly what makes a good puzzle game, and why Superliminal doesn't meet those requirements. In fact, in some ways, being successful is inconsequential to how important a title really is.There is an argument to be made that any game that anyone plays is important in the fabric of gaming history. It’s a Psych 101 type of argument, in that we build our future games by standing on the shoulders of the games before them. Therefore, every game a developer has ever played influences their future games when they make them. That kind of argument is vague and I personally believe quite wrong.
