Christian Version of the German National Anthem:
Glorious things of thee are spoken,
Zion, city of our God.
He whose Word cannot be broken
formed thee for His own abode.
On the Rock of Ages founded,
what can shake thy sure repose?
With salvation's walls surrounded,
thou may'st smile at all thy foes.
See, the streams of living waters,
springing from eternal love,
well supply thy sons and daughters
and all fear of want remove.
Who can faint while such a river
ever flows their thirst to assuage?
Grace, which like the Lord, the Giver,
never fails from age to age.
Round each habitation hov'ring,
see the cloud and fire appear
for a glory and a cov'ring,
showing that the Lord is near.
Thus deriving from their banner
light by night and shade by day,
safe they feed upon the manna
which God gives them when on their way.
Savior, since of Zion's city
I through grace a member am,
let the world deride or pity,
I will glory in Thy name.
Fading are the world's best pleasures,
all its boasted pomp and show;
solid joys and lasting treasures
none but Zion's children know.
Music: Franz Joseph Haydn 1797 [Kaiserlied]
Lyrics: John Newton 1779 "Glorious Things Of Thee Are Spoken" / "Zion, The City Of God"

![Count Your Blessings — Piano
English Lyrics:
When upon life’s billows you are tempest tossed,
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord [*has] done. [*hath]
CHORUS:
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your blessings, see what God has done!
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
[*Count your many blessings, see what God has done.] [*And it will surprise you what the Lord has done.]
Are you ever burdened with a load of care?
Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?
Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly,
And you will keep singing as the days go by.
When you look at others with their lands and gold,
Think that Christ has promised you His wealth untold;
Count your many blessings [*money cannot buy] [*wealth can never buy]
Your reward in heaven, nor your home on high.
So, amid the conflict whether great or small,
Do not be discouraged, God is over all;
Count your many blessings, angels will attend,
Help and comfort give you to your journey’s end.
Music: Edwin Othello Excell 1897 [Count Your Blessings]

German Lyrics:
Nimm, o Herr, meine Hand,
führe mich unverwandt,
ich bin hilflos, ermüdet und matt.
Führ durch Sturm und durch Nacht
mich zum Licht deiner Macht.
Nimm, o Herr, meine Hand, führ mich heim!
Drohet Unheil mir hier,
ist mein Heiland bei mir,
wenn mein Lebensmut entflieht.
Hör mein Bitten, mein Flehn,
nur mit dir will ich gehn!
Nimm, o Herr, meine Hand, führ mich heim!
Wenn ich dann noch einmal
niederblick in das Tal
und der Tag sich dem Ende neigt,
geh ich hin zu dem Strand
in dem glorreichen Land.
Nimm, o Herr, meine Hand, führ mich heim!

Joybells ringing, children singing,
fill the air with thankful praise;
Christ is risen, Christ is risen,
hymns of joy to Him we raise.

Joybells, joybells, never cease your ringing;
Children, children, never cease your singing.
[*Hark! Hark! The joyful sound is all around!] [*List, list, the song that swells. Joybells!
Joybells ringing, children singing,
Hark! Their voices, loud and clear,
breaking oer us like a chorus
from a purer, [*heavnly] sphere. [*happier]
Earth seems brighter, hearts grow lighter
as the [*gladsome] melody [*tuneful]
charms our sadness into gladness
pealing [*ever] joyfully. [*pealing]
Joybells nearer sound, and clearer,
when [*our hearts are] free from care; [*the heart is]
skies are clearing, while were hearing

![Sikker i Jesu armer — Piano
Norwegian Lyrics:
Sikker i Jesu armer,
Trygg i hans frelserfavn,
Finner jeg hjelp i farer,
Fristelser, sorg og savn.
Englenes jubel høres
Båret til meg i sang.
Mektig og ren den klinger
Vidt over himmelvang.
Sikker i Jesu armer,
Trygg i hans frelserfavn,
Finner jeg hjelp i farer,
Fristelser, sorg og savn.
Sikker i Jesu armer
Hviler jeg ved hans bryst.
Her ved min Frelsers hjerte
Søker min sjel sin lyst.
Han som et skjold meg skjermer
Mot hver en giftig pil.
Lett blir min tunge byrde,
Bort svinner angst og tvil.
Sikker i Jesu armer
Hviler jeg ved hans bryst.
Her ved min Frelsers hjerte
Søker min sjel sin lyst.
Jesus, mitt hjertes tilflukt,
Du som er død for meg,
Jeg på din nåde bygger,
Klynger meg tett til deg.
Vente jeg vil med tålmod
Dagen som snart skal gry,
da den forløste skare
Møtes med deg i sky. –
Jesus, mitt hjertes tilflukt,
Du som er død for meg,
Jeg på din nåde bygger,
Klynger meg tett til deg.

Laat kind’ren komen, zo klonk Zijn stem,
spring op van vreugd, verblijd u in Hem.
O, luister naar die lieflijke stem,
toef langer niet, maar kom!
Wil toch bedenken, Hij is nabij,
volg dan Zijn stem, ook u maakt Hij vrij.
Luister, Hij spreekt tot u en tot mij,

Frelser, led meg, at jeg ei
Farer vill på livets vei.
Hos deg har jeg trygghet, fred;
Hold meg i din kjærlighet.

![Jag har en boning — Piano

![Always Cheerful — Brass
English Lyrics:
Let our hearts be always cheerful;
Why should murmring enter there,
When our kind and loving Father
Makes us children of His care?
CHORUS:
Always cheerful, always cheerful,
Sunshine all around we see;
Full of beauty is the path of duty,
Cheerful we may always be.
With His gentle hand to lead us,
Should the powrs of sin assail,
He has promised grace to help us;
Never can His promise fail.
When we turn aside from duty,
Comes the pain of doing wrong;
And a shadow, creeping oer us,
Checks the rapture of our song.
Oh! the good are always happy,
And their path is ever bright;
Let us heed the blessed counsel,
Shun the wrong and love the right.
