Java 1.16 saw the end of forced updates and fast growth mechanics from zero-ticking blocks under crops or piston's next to them. Shaky-Sand was killed... for the second time... and we were forced to go back to more conventional fast growth mechanics. In this video I will show you a 100% optimized, zero-waste, Zero-Tick replacement or alternative to fast growth bamboo.
This, of course, is forced to use bone meal. That said, we want to ensure that absolutely no bone meal is wasted and we get a loseless conversion from bone meal to bamboo. You should get on average 1.5 bamboo per bone meal. In this tiny but perfectly timed machine, each slice of this one-wide-tileable farm will produce 13,500 bamboo per hour. That is the equivelent of 768 conventionaly harvested bamboo plants, or three full chunks worth of planted bamboo. The whole machine at 29 slices wide will produce 391,500 bamboo per hour. That would mean a 9x9 chunk square of bamboo would still not be enough to keep up. An equivalent conventional farm (assuming a 10 chunk render range setting) would take up almost 25% of your total viewable area!
