Wood/Logs are something pretty easy to come by early game. Two of my ten 'First Farms' to build involved trees. This simple build will let you take those trees and convert them to xp automatically and in the background. All you have to so is supply it with those logs and you can walk away, returning only to take the xp as needed (or add more logs).
