A series of full power (260kW) runs have been conducted on KCVH runway to confirm full range of control of the powertrain. Power control, RPM management, and torque settings have been successfully tested at up to 100kts ground speed (20-25 kts higher than normal take-off speeds). The tests have demonstrated readiness for liftoff, and cleared the way for FAA experimental ticket
