Since a sizable portion of Zermatt’s Oberer Theodul Glacier is located on ice, the broader ski area can offer skiing and riding well beyond winter. The highest sections of Matterhorn Glacier Paradise operate nearly year-round, typically remaining open through September.

That said, the number of available slopes during summer is limited, and you can't use your Ikon Pass to visit @zermatt.matterhorn in the off-season. Still, it’s an incredible opportunity to get some turns in when you normally wouldn’t be able to. The summer slopes are maintained through snow farming and served by seasonal T-bars.

If you visit in winter, you’ll spot the infrastructure in place for both summer and winter operations.
