I always tell myself to write a brief description each time, but somehow...-__-

Can't remember the last time anyone wrote a Vocaloid song as uplifting as this--even if you're like me and know basically 0 Japanese, the melody and imagery alone should be enough to put a smile on your face :) I also can't remember the last time in which 8 Vocaloids were used in the same song, so I knew I had to make a transcription for this XD And so, after 2 weeks of working on this in my all-too-frequent periods of procrastination, here it is :D

I actually gave the instrumentation a fair bit of thought...XD

Miku (Violin) -- Obvious choice. She's the central Vocaloid character, while strings (and by extension, the violin) are the core of the orchestra
Rin (Flute) -- High pitched, light and fluttery
Len (Oboe) -- a bit lower than Rin, and his tone's somewhat richer and sweeter. I thought this was a really good fit for this particular song
Gumi (Clarinet) -- well...she's my favorite :)
Luka (Alto Sax) -- her range seems appropriate, and I'd argue that her voice often has more attitude than the other "woodwinds". Too bad my midi sax sounds like shit for some reason :(
Meiko (Viola) -- her voice is a bit more piercing than Luka's, and sounds closer to Miku in this song
Gakupo (Cello) -- lovely low velvety tone with a bit of edginess
Kaito (Bassoon) -- smoother than Gakupo, timbre closer to that of a double-reed instrument

Definitely the largest and most difficult transcription I've done yet by far. But it was quite fun, especially in the middle section with each voice dovetailing into the next basically every bar or two. Unfortunately, I've forgotten most of what I've learned about harmony, so some of those chords might sound a bit awkward XD

I'd absolutely effing love to do a collaborative cover of this song someday, but sadly I don't think there are any cellists on YT who would be interested in this :( And, there's also the tuning...XD Well, until then, there's always this MIDI arrangement ^_^
