A fun little duet I played with my friend Taeyeon back in March (please come back to Canada some day! ;~;)
I was hoping for the proper studio mic recording to be up sometime on the website, but that still hasn't happened yet. Instead, you'll have to make do with the *surprisingly satisfactory* audio that was recorded by the camera.
My squeak was 100% intentional.
In any case, I thought it was a decent performance! Probably could've been better, but it most certainly could've turned out a whole lot worse considering we were both pretty much dead tired from the start (as this was performed close to the end of the concert).
I copied the sheet music as well (with some minor changes), in order to separate the two parts, and also because the original had too many awkward page flips orz

![[VOCALOID] - From Y to Y (clarinet cover)
Clarinet cover of an awesome Miku Hatsune song. Sorry about the ending, the camera died :(
Set in the rather annoying key of Db+ (concert B major), which is a bit too hard to do by ear =)

![[MIC TEST] Kisaragi Attention (short clarinet cover)
Headphones and 720p for the best sound!
After having some problems with my current rig, I thought it would be a good time to try out some new gear. So I went to the music store today and rented a truckload of equipment :) Well, more like 3 mics, a bunch of XLR cables, an Avid USB interface, and a stand, but anyway... XD
0:00 Behringer B1 condenser (my current mic)
1:10 Audio Technica AT4040 condenser
2:20 Shure SM7b dynamic
3:30 AKG C214 condenser
Only effects used were compression, reverb, and a low cut around 30 Hz on the master track
Its not the most scientific of tests, cause I dont have an interface that can accept 4 inputs simultaneously, but I tried to keep my setup as consistent as possible. Just try to ignore my sloppy playing :P
Tbh, for mics that cost 2 to 3 times as much as my current one, the improvements were really, really small XD What do you guys think? (Ill refrain from giving my opinion to keep you unbiased) ^_^ [MIC TEST] Kisaragi Attention (short clarinet cover)](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/jzEEYEivqZM/mqdefault.jpg)
![[Clannad After Story] Toki wo Kizamu Uta / 時を刻む唄
Gorgeous opening from a gorgeous anime, and as such I just had to do this! Jun Maeda kicks so much ass considering how big a part he plays in the production of all these awesome series ^ ^
Being the piano noob that I am, I obviously cant play this piece as well as this guy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3SOIcE-tugY (nor do I do the piece any justice), but I do think Im slowly getting there.
