It's been over a month, but now I'm back from my Vocaloid covering semi-hiatus! ^_^
Originally, this was meant as a test mix (if you listen carefully, you'll hear that it's nowhere near polished -_-), but after playing around with the mix, I figured it was a passable cover. And so, rather than having you guys wait even longer for my next cover, here it is :D
This is one of the two Kemu songs that I actually like--probably cause it *gasp* actually sounds different from his usual style O.O With such a dramatic title, you'd expect some big, soaring melodies; and certainly, Kemu doesn't disappoint. Toss in some awesome Gumi-tuning, and voila - a pretty damn sweet song ^_^
Sorry about the sloppy rhythms everywhere orz I would definitely like to practice this one some more and upload a cover with full video, but that'll have to wait till my neighbours stop constantly hammering shit in their garage :(

Headphones and 720p for the best sound!
After having some problems with my current rig, I thought it would be a good time to try out some new gear. So I went to the music store today and rented a truckload of equipment :) Well, more like 3 mics, a bunch of XLR cables, an Avid USB interface, and a stand, but anyway... XD
0:00 Behringer B1 condenser (my current mic)
1:10 Audio Technica AT4040 condenser
2:20 Shure SM7b dynamic
3:30 AKG C214 condenser
Only effects used were compression, reverb, and a low cut around 30 Hz on the master track
Its not the most scientific of tests, cause I dont have an interface that can accept 4 inputs simultaneously, but I tried to keep my setup as consistent as possible. Just try to ignore my sloppy playing :P
Tbh, for mics that cost 2 to 3 times as much as my current one, the improvements were really, really small XD What do you guys think? (Ill refrain from giving my opinion to keep you unbiased) ^_^")

Gorgeous opening from a gorgeous anime, and as such I just had to do this! Jun Maeda kicks so much ass considering how big a part he plays in the production of all these awesome series ^ ^
