This is an unedited practice rehearsing recording of Yuko Uebayashi‘s 1st movement of her Flute Sonata. We rehearsed this in July 2020 and this piece was part of my Master in piano performance with the concert in October 2020.
As you all know 2020 has been a very difficult year for us all due to restrictions in all parts of life. For musicians it was hard to get public performances. On the other hand, due to the closing down of all daily life suddenly there was so much time to practice like never before and after. It was a chance to dive deep into so much repertoire even beside my official concert program. I am thankful for Asako‘s beautiful playing. Beside the piano, the flute is one of my favorite instruments.
The third person on the photo at the end is Aoi Kojima. We performed Bach‘s piano concerto‘s first movement BWV 1052 on two pianos. I am also thankful for her amazing musicianship.
