Mark Anthony Burton Yuhas, the Technical Director for Ruth Eckerd Hall's Baycare Sound, says that the publicly-owned Coachman Park Amphitheater is not publicly-owned.
Notice that Yuhas is 'locking up' an area where I am not sitting or a part of. He's 'locking' the door behind him. Since REH only has rights to the property 3-hours before an event begins, why is Yuhas in the property? There is no show on that day and, in such, it is certainly not three hours before an event. Since there seems to be no reason for Yuhas to be inside the building, isn't he trespassing?
REH is contracted for 35 shows per year...that's it! The other 330 days, the amphitheater reverts back to the people. Per contract, REH can close the gates three hours before an event, which does not pertain to this day since no event is happening.
Lots of cities in Florida have public amphitheaters. Palm Beach County's Amphitheater hosts SunFest which is a two day event with many top name bands. After the event, the organization takes its toys and goes home. Yuhas is leaving his crap all over the place and demandng that no one can enter the area. Mind you, taxpayers just spent $84M building the park and now REH is trying to steal it, call it private and keep people from enjoying a space that belongs to them.
