Contempt based analysis of contemporary YouTube gaming. Been meaning to talk about this for a while, but it's a hard topic.

I talk about a fair bit more here and give a more holistic view about what I think of YouTube Gaming. Don't read it.
As for the backing material, It was either a lovely black screen for 11min or using my DMC5 gameplay. I know it can be distracting because I'm kinda nice wit it, but I decided to use it anyways. I didn't bother putting in pop ups to drive my points home or stupid movie refences to keep your attention because you must stfu and listen. Full podcast stuff, no bullshit.
Not even trying to spark conversation or get you to think about anything, I am legit just trying to get this off my chest. I feel stuck, and I feel like I need to say these things so I can start moving forward again.
If you can't relate, don't understand or think this video is useless, that's fine.
I don't really like these kinds of videos either. I also can't articulate myself perfectly in a video like this because this topic is too complex. So I often sound as if I'm all over the place.
Plus I legit feel like many people who listen to video essays decide what the video was about before they even watch it, and then try to listen to it from the perspective of comparing it to their assumptions.

Most of these were done on 1.20 or 1.31 and Rank 7 was completed on 1.40.
I cant get these stats displayed in English so you will have to make do orz
No autoguard was used and I only used a Hold bullet on one single mission (West Route 6# with the Chi You and a Marduk)
I decided to do this as part of my journey in getting good at God Eater 3, and there is now two things I can tell you for sure as someone who has Perfect Cleared every mission in the game.
The first is that the Free Class missions are harder than the Solo Class Missions when played solo. This is something I have said for a long time but it really needs to be emphasized.
The second and probably most important thing I can tell you is that this achievement means absolutely nothing.
I mean, you can use Hold install skills, Hold bullets, element weapons, MPW and autoguard and still net a Perfect Clear.
On top of that you can just run in a circle until the Aragami does an unsafe attack and then punish, because why the hell would you take the risk of ever trying to JG or punish anything otherwise? :V
This achievement is just a question of your dedication and using the right tools for every mission which belies the stigma of a potentially skilled player who has earned a Perfect Clear for every mission in the game.
But I guess its whatever.
This part of my journey hasnt helped me get good even a fraction as much as playing with Rank 1 only has. I just learned that you can either stunlock everything or just run in a circle to consistently Perfect Clear everything.
I also learned that when you do that, you learn nothing about actually dealing with attack patterns and above all else, its a boring and uneventful way to play.
As for me,
I want to be the unofficial spearhead of the official Crispy JG inspection committee.
Every time you run away from any attack or a devour Im gonna glare at you like you just threw paper in the plastic recycle bin.

I wanted to use one of those new weapons and learn how to fight Barbz, but strange things kept going wrong in recording that made this take longer than it should have (Partly because Im tired of GE3)
Those new burst plugins on the new equipment are even stronger than I thought they would be. It baffles me how theyre continuing to overpower the player in every update while the Aragami stay more or less the same.
I mean, I guess they want us to feel like we in a Shonen anime, but whens the unbeatable adversary that forces us to go into the training arc?
Well. I talk like that but I now only play using Rank 1 equips these days so to me, I dont really mind anymore.
Anyway, Barbz is surprisingly fun to fight when you learn a couple of things.
One: His digging attacks arent random and can be distinguished apart by a small difference in the startup time.
The Shorter one is where he exits the ground immediately and like in the video, you can block his entrance to the ground in place and have the JG invul carry all the way to his ground exit.
The one with the longer startup time has him enter the ground and exit & reenter at least once before coming back out. The same technique can be used on his entry here (For some reason, when equipped with Scythe, something weird as hell occasionally happens though)
But if you want to JG his exit, youll have to move to the direction he went and watch the ground amidst the lightning. You can also stand just outside of his ground exit area and devour him the second he comes out for style points. Unfortunately didnt get to do this because I got sick of barbz while recording w
The second thing about Barbz is that he is an idiot. He will do attacks that straight up dont work at the ranges you stand and he will almost 100% cause a fuck up in some way when he is near a wall.
Hey, feels like its been a while since Ive given any real advice in a video description. But I see literally every person run away from Barbz so Im sharing these tips in hopes just one other guy tries to block him.
Okay, the last thing I want to say is that Ill be taking a break from GE3 for a while.
To play Code Vein, yes, but also because I need some time away from this game. I been going hard on it non-stop since March and I just reached 1700 hours.
So I think now is a good time to take a break.
Il definitely be back when 2.10 drops.

Gilded Hunter Boss Fight No Damage Solo
Level 1 on Enhanced Difficulty 1
Probably one of the most fun bosses in the game.
He can be annoying if you dont learn to respect him or if you are a Greatsword user sitting through his powered up phase with no real chances to punish attacks.
Thankfully, his powered up phase times out(?) and he goes back to being a normal boy if you can survive long enough. Most people kill him before then though.
Other than that, he actually starts to make a lot of sense the more you fight him and you can think up some creative answers to his attacks. Still a damn near nightmare for Greatsword play though.
Hm. Anyway.
I am starting to lose the motivation to continue playing this game, so who knows when the next video will be orz

Everyone on the little boys playground knows how disrespectful it is to finish a battle without letting your opponent power up fully.
And Ill do this mission properly in the future, I promise. But I just really wanted to show how downright stupid this Burst Art is.
I said in another video that Moonlit Dawn might be the single strongest art in the game, but also the most impractical and hardest to use.
So here, have this video.
Its still impractical as hell and I really dont want people to try to play like this as a way of life.
If I see you use double Hold traps to make this BA viable Im gonna shake my head at you.

The custom bullet used is a simple L bomb triggered from an S sticky orb. Its set to detonate when touches a target followed by another detonation when it dissipates. Dont ask for recipes to this ultra specific bullet please.

Version 1.30s new Black Rock Shooter Anubis.
Perfect Clear becomes possible if you time the Anti-Aura Grenade properly (I think its like a ~6 Frame window?). It doesnt count as an item use.
After that, its just a regular old Anubis with one new attack. Doesnt even hit nearly as hard as Ramen so Im mildly disappointed with him but hes still fun to fight.
Overall, Im not happy with this run. Somehow it didnt turn into a drab stunlock run, but it didnt turn into anything spectacular, either.
If you watch really closely I deliberately stand around sometimes waiting for him to do his one new attack so I could Perfect Guard it. But he just didnt want to. Even though I gave him plenty of chances, the man just wanted to be a normal Anubis.
A lengthy side note:
I generally use Elemental Weapons in my videos to showcase solo efficiency (Without using MPW? What logic is this!?!?!?) but I mostly use them because I really busted my balls to make all of them.
I have a +30 weapon for every element on every weapon type plus a Non-Element one. Thats at least 1200 Melee +1 Arcs, you know. On top of everything, the +1 bug didnt work for me because I had a 4 cycle so it was some really hard grinding.
So taking that hard work into account I feel compelled to use them. Even if they make fights into abridged versions of what they normally are with non-element stuff.
But someone requested I do videos with Non-Elementals and I agree that I should. I will. Im just being stubborn.
I do think theres merit in showing how you can body things convincingly in this game, but Ive been doing so much Rank 1 Shibari online, recording something like this doesnt really hype me up that much.
But I guess its whatever. Inadvertently complaining about the games balance here is stupid. Ill just go record more stuff.
