Contrary to what I usually upload, I spend almost all of my time doing Rank 1 only multiplayer in GE3.
The purpose of doing this is to make the game challenging and fun. The idea is to strip away all of the bells and whistles that make you strong and leave only raw gameplay to enjoy.

There's not a lot to rely on so small mistakes or being overly reckless becomes a big deal.
Items being banned means that teammates not healing becomes a big deal.

Essentially, Rank1 Only multiplayer really tests your skillset as a player in God Eater 3.

It tests your teamwork, situational awareness, ability to handle Aragami and it tests your endurance. It also tests your ability to cope with lag, but that's another discussion altogether.

In Rank 1s, you can't just show up, whip out your junk and try to power through everything like you would anywhere else in this game and that's what makes it fun.


Now let's talk about the run itself.

Save for one guy, this is a team i have played with quite a lot. I'm very familiar with their playstyles and they are familiar with mine. These boiz know that I'm gonna equip P--Performer and go Just Guard Crazy on everything whether it lags or not.
That's one of the reasons I got the nickname 'King of Lag' :V

But even so, this run was too clean.

When people panic or are unfamiliar with Rank1 play, it gets extremely messy.
People dying all the time, needing healing all the time, taking silly risks, not being in gun mode when idle so they can't save people who get killed.

But with people you know and with people who have played a year's worth of Rank 1 play, it becomes a well oiled machine.
Look at how quick I was healed when I made a mistake. Look at how everyone can comfortably deal their damage because they know who has the Aragami's aggro. If you look very closely you can see one of them in gun mode every time I'm doing something risky, ready to save me if I get one-shot.

Another strange thing about this run, is that there wasn't much lag.

This is my offline playstyle and I play like this if there is 0 lags. But as soon as an Aragami starts sliding around, making up new attacks or forgetting what its animations are, I only guard attacks I know I can JG with 100% success rate in 20 Frame lag.

I also didn't really need to heal in this run, but I am actually a pretty good healer too.
I don't babysit reckless people, but I have saved countless people about to die with what is known as a 'God Heal'. Until lag makes it so that my heal bullets never hit orz


Anyway, this was good run.
Lagless GE3 is pretty nice though.

Even though I later heard that this run lagged like crazy from the other guys ww
