A rock/metal cover of 'Your Ocean' from the video game NEO: The World Ends With You.
I've mentioned in previous videos that the TWEWY games are criminally underrated and its soundtrack, and I'm so happy the original game got a sequel!
I've actually not started the new game yet and I'm trying to keep myself spoiler free of the music, but when the demo came out a lot of the OST was flying around, and after hearing this song, I couldn't pass up on covering it! The song is a relatively simple rock song, so it's not a difficult song by any means, so I decided to spice it up with slightly heavier production, and throw in a guitar solo! I also decided to play drums in full for this one! It was more challenging in that respect, since it's faster than anything I played, and I definitely struggled with the fills, but I think it turned out okay!
Then I also changed the tuning from E standard to D standard for a couple of reasons. First, I thought down tuning the song could give it a slightly heavier edge to it and differentiate from the original, and also I have once again picked a song that's out of my range, but this time I decided to make it easier on myself! I'm still not a great singer though, but I tried my best, so hopefully I did the original justice, and hopefully you all enjoyed the video!
