I just love this page! Maybe because of the monochromatic color scheme or maybe because of the photo but I think it's the whole page -- the subtle color-matched mixed media, the distressed edges of the Pinkfresh and Vicki Boutin papers from 6x6 and 6x8 pads respectively, the Discover + Create frames, the Bramble Fox title, squirrel and camera...and who knew that aqua and periwinkle blues would be so pretty together. I also love the pops of black which were inspired by the curvy frame over the photo. I picked three papers from the Pinkfresh pad, cut two into rectangles to layer behind the photo and cut one into an arrow following the lines of the pattern. I backed the aqua papers with a blue pattern from the Vicki Boutin pad and used matching fussycut flowers and moth -- but the photo is really set off by the blue frame that I cut in half. Love that effect and I almost didn't use it! The Bramble Fox pieces are perfect for the page with various shades of blue and the perfect "baby squirrel" for Ava.
