So in the middle of winter I find it fun (necessary even) to do beach layouts. And I do love a mix of bright colors in a beachy collection but when those colors include navy and pink, I'm SO there..... Bella Blvd's "Island Escape" collection is very beachy and tropical and colorful and just plain fun, and I pinned this page done by Tarrah McLean for Bella Blvd, intending to do a direct scraplift. But today when I looked at it I saw the die cut palm tree and that sent me into my stash of dies and I found several and somehow the page became this one with the cluster all sitting on the beach and the palm tree rising way up in the sky, and then the sun die led to the need for rays and that led to Lisa's stencil from Scrap a Sketch and then I pulled out lots of tropical and beachy goodies from my BrambleFox stash.....and of course sunflowers and a penguin and the cutest little Steven Duncan turtle. And because it's day 31 of Baby Got Scraps, I've used only scraps aside from the white background paper. TBH that was easy because scraps are all I have left of this gorgeous collection!

I don't mind saying that I absolutely freaking LOVE this page. The colors, yes. The theme, yes. The photo, yes. The memory, yes. All of those reasons. But I think it's the jumble of happy elements at the bottom of the page and all that white space before you get to the palm tree.....Somehow that makes my heart happy.
