Ava is on my mind today as she's getting her annual cancer survivor checkup so I dug into the archives and came up with this cute pic of her holding her favorite Yo Gabba Gabba character Toodie, which in her vocabulary at the time was synonymous with the color blue, just as Plex was her word for "yellow".... We lived in a Toodie house, she wore Toodie jeans, she loved Toodie berries with her cereal --- you get the picture.

Inspired by an amazing page from my ultimate scrappy heroine Julie Taylor I've piled on everything except the kitchen sink, both Toodie and other colors, including some Plex accents.... I stamped a stitched square and pulled Toodie tickets, scraps, envelopes, stars, frames -- you name it -- and made a textural, fun page about all the fun things that might inhabit the world of a 4-year-old. I absolutely LOVED making this page, both the process of gathering supplies and actual construction of the page. It's my kind of page -- the kind that grabs my eye and holds it as I go over detail after detail too get all the smiles that are there for the discovering. I know this is a long one but I hope you share in the fun with me from beginning to end and then visit all the other channels for more inspiration.
