Your form is breaking down? STOP THE SET.
I don't care if you "only have 2 reps left" - those sloppy reps are doing more harm than good.
Here's what bad reps actually do:
❌ Reinforce poor movement patterns
❌ Increase injury risk exponentially
❌ Train the WRONG muscles
❌ Waste your time and effort
Every rep you do with compromised form is practice. And you're practicing the wrong thing.
What form breakdown looks like:
- Your back starts rounding
- You're using momentum instead of muscle
- Your joints are shifting out of position
- You can't control the eccentric
- You're compensating with other muscles
The second you notice ANY of these - the set is over. Drop the weight, reset, and do it right.
"But I need to push to failure!"
No. You need to push to technical failure. The point where you can't maintain form is your true stopping point.
Quality reps build muscle. Garbage reps build injury patterns.
Your ego will recover faster than your torn rotator cuff will.
Drop the weight. Fix the form. Build actual strength.
Comment 💯 if you've been guilty of this!
