It’s great to have big dreams, it’s even greater to do something about it.
—
Having big dreams is not the hard part.
Most people have some version of a life they want to build.
A better business.
A stronger, sexier, smoking bod.
A deeper relationship with God.
More freedom.
More impact.
More peace.
Yada yada yada.
The hard part is becoming the kind of person who can carry the weight of that dream.
In my experience, big dreams usually come with rejection.
Delayed gratification.
Boring repetition.
Lonely decisions.
Trying to find comfort in not knowing if anything you’re doing is going to work.
And seasons where nobody claps because nothing looks impressive yet.
That is the part that gets underestimated.
The dream feels good when it is still an idea.
It gets heavier when it starts requiring sacrifice.
I am still learning this myself.
The goal is not to stop dreaming big.
The goal is to respect what the dream is going to demand from you and be willing to face it anyway.
