IT'S DONE! This was made for Kiandra's MEP where the theme was impossible love, so I chose the most impossible love there was ;)

Story: Ariel and Cindy have known each other all their lives (sisters or best friends, it's up to you), and while Ariel loves her dearly, there is something about Cindy that she's kept to herself since they were kids: she hates her girlfriend, Odette. Odette just loves to show up at the worst of times, and the moment she does, everyone's attention is always drawn to her and Cindy and their relentless flirting and Ariel can hardly stand it; she's been putting up with it since they were kids and has always protected Cindy from the scornful words of the other people in town, but never once has she spoken up against their relationship.
Until Cindy sees a group gathering around a sign announcing an upcoming dance, and seeing as she hasn't been to one since she was a kid, Odette, once she reads the sign aloud, suggests that they go together. Ariel is forced to tag along while they pick out dresses, smiling awkwardly as the townsfolk stop and stare as Cindy offers a cute purple dress for Odette to try. That night, she overhears Cindy talking excitedly to Odette about the dance, and Ariel can only think of the last time they went out together, how the other kids mocked her, and she prays that Odette won't show.
Unfortunately for her, they get to the dance and Cindy heads straight for her girlfriend, the other attendants immediately noticing, and Ariel decides that this wasn't a good idea. She tries to calmly escort Cindy somewhere else, maybe convince her to tell Odette to leave if she's lucky, and when she's met with resistence she breaks, shouting at Cindy to stop with her nonsense and that she's too old for an imaginary friend. Cindy falters, confused, as Ariel tells her that Odette isn't real, never has been, and that she's been quiet about it all their lives but she can't do it anymore, and Odette is silent and nowhere to be seen as Cindy just stares in shock.

This was the hardest story I've ever come up with just due to the fact that I COULD NOT DECIDE ON WHAT THE HELL ODETTE WAS. From the very beginning I wanted the plot to be supernatural/magical-based, centered around a mirror dimension that Cindy opens as a kid that gives her a glimpse into Odette's world. Unfortunately I remembered that TheNight130 did a very similar story with Cindy and mirrors already, and just last week I saw another mep part featuring Cindy and mirrors AND Odette, so I dropped that plot and tried to think of another one. I danced around many ideas of what Odette could be, nearly doing a plot where she was a shapeshifter who stole Cindy's childhood friend's identity to be close to her, but there wasn't enough time to tell that story. She was also almost a ghost, who possessed another friend to live again and date Cindy, but I couldn't get a good grasp of it to fit the time; I toyed with that idea only with Odette as a spirit of some kind as well, but also ditched it. It wasn't until I added in Ariel that the plot was able to fall easily into place, and after restarting the video from scratch about five times that I settled on what I have now. I wanted to make sure that no matter what it was obvious that she wasn't human upon rewatching, so a subtle hint is that not only is she never in the shot if Ariel is there too, but she never has any light shining on her, be it outside in the sun or under the pink ballroom lights unlike the other two.
Ariel also changed in the sense that she was going to be another kid in town who had a crush on Cindy and met her after Odette started appearing, then they were going to live in the same orphanage, and in the end it's really up to the watcher what her relation to Cindy actually is, as it's pretty open for this version; I plan to flesh out the plot for a full video in the future because I like it so much, so who knows how Odette will change for that one ;)
