Trailer, mini-movie, whichever you prefer. I keep saying trailer, personally, so that's what my goal was. Please do not repost this, I'm posting it myself on tumblr.
This is my first contribution to the Rooster Teeth fandom so I am incredibly nervous about posting this. It's not perfect to me, considering I really underestimated how much time I gave the final bit and the shorts themselves sometimes already have a soundtrack so the audio is weird at points, but all in all I'm proud to have finished it. Below is the plot, I suggest reading it after watching, just in case. Sorry it's so long. This is best watched with headphones (a couple lines are quiet-ish) and in 720p (not every short was able to be downloaded in HD sadly).

STORY: Joel Heyman is a quiet guy, keeping to himself and getting along with his co-workers when they give him the time. He's content with his life, minus one key figure: His superior, Matt. Using his 'rank' to get Joel to do him favours, him quickly finds out that it's easy to push him around with no consequence when he needs be, until the day Joel has enough. Slowly he starts to change, acting a little more outgoing and speaking his mind instead of being silent. Only Matt notices the change and pays more attention until he realizes that something's horribly wrong with Joel. He tries to tell Geoff what's been going on, only to have Joel start to outwardly focus his hate towards the other man. Then Joel starts to get aggressive. Fearing for his life, Matt tries to flee, only to be stopped when he's hit by a car. Knowing that running isn't the way to go, Matt goes to their boss for help, only to be shot down; this is Joel they're talking about after all, everyone gets along with him, he's a good guy. Things intensify when Joel starts to follow Matt, rarely leaving his side until suddenly Matt is murdered. Life goes on at the office before others start to mysteriously die. It's only until it's too late when everyone realizes that Matt was telling the truth.

Starting this I only had a basic idea of Joel being a pushover at work and Matt taking advantage of that until Joel decides he's had enough and eventually kills everyone. Because I wanted it to be in trailer-format I knew what kind of music I was looking for but had no idea where to find it. Thankfully Brand X Music is an angel and yeah everyone should check out their stuff if you're into video editing because you will find what you're looking for and then some.
The final draft of the story was able to come together thanks to said music, but because everything was so perfect it was hard to mesh them together. Hopefully it turned out okay because I'm terrible at meshing music. Anyway I was able to flesh out Joel and Matt's crumbling relationship just the way I wanted and also set up the whole ending scene (although that's where the underestimating went because it just kept going and I nearly ran out of clips) in a hopefully clear way.
