Kay, so this is kind abased off a true story, I'll exlain everything later, today was a horrible day to upload it, but I really wanted to -_- Jen knows the whole story and she knows it's unrequited and hates the guy not as much, so no taking this the wrong way.
Story behind it: As everyone who knows me knows, I am dating Jen. Now, as all my closest friends and now everyone who reads this knows, that I am also in love with a man: Gary Sinise. Now he is the only man I love, and Jen knows and hates him for it, but we still joke about it, so it's fine. So,me being the idiot I am, I deceided to listen to during during one of our conversations, and of course, I thought of Gary because he was the guy. And of COURSE he doesn't love me back because he has no clue who I am -_-" But I had been looking for a video to redo this with for a while and was going to use Utena, but didn't really want to. Then I thought of George. After that the vid just came to me. So there you have it, it's all Gary's fault lol
Vid story: Curley's Wife fell in love with George, and he kind of loved her back, but not fully. So while they were seeing each other, George, who had been spending a lot of time with his only friend Lennie, realised he was actually falling in love with him, thus complicating his current relationship. So while Curley's Wife kept on going on thinking George loved her back, he was seeing Lennie, who at first was completely appalled and even frightened by the idea, but fell in love as well. And during this whole time, George himself was trying to figure out who he truely loved, and ended up caught in between one night after spending it with Lennie. Now people are starting to ge suspitious and with Lennie not able to tell the truth he's all alone, completely confused about his loves. Then one day she comes into the bunkhouse after George had just returned after being with Lennie for a night, wondering where he was. Of course he isn't going to tell her the truth, so he quickly makes up a lie to get her off his back. Little did he know, this was the first time Lennie had seen the beauty, and had began to fell for her, complicating their situation further. George is angered by this and tries to get Lennie to look only at him, and is convinced it worked after a verbal threat. After this George is worried that Lennie might try and speak with her so he decides that they should run away together, which they do. That night, as they talk about their future together, Curley's Wife sadly yet angirlly finds out where they are headed from a friend of theirs and goes to the same place, eager to see what made them leave so urgently after returning. So while George decides the next day whether of not he should stay with Lennie to go back to his woman, she walks in on his man, now wanting to get back at George for leaving her for him. And Lennie, having already been attracted to her, after some comforting words, falls into her trap and completely falls for her and they go back to her place, leaving George alone. And as he finds out later that day after deceiding to fully be with Lennie, in a fit of distress, runs away to be alone forever, having been burned twice by his loves.
Yeah, long enough story for ya? And I had to think of the damn thing lol So yeah it has nothing to really do with my life, and I have a brand new respect for George after this. Also, I know I still call her Curley's Wife, even after she's flirting with George, so that's kinda awkward. Props to anyone who fully reads this ;)

I asked and you guys answered, with a surprising 77% of 71 people, you guys voted for a non/disney version of my YPIV, so here it is~ Like I said in the post, this one has less parts so I can give all my love to whatever ships are chosen, and even though I wouldve loved to have 40 second parts to fulfil that, I didnt wanna have only 4 or so ships in the final video, so now 25 seconds is the shortest and the rest are over 30.
If I end up with a bunch of suggestions then I wouldnt mind opening up a second volume so all the ships dont have to have any time taken away uwu
RULES:
-First and foremost, choose a part of the song and tell me the ship youd like me to edit for it; I will be choosing the ships based on my inspiration to edit with them so adding in a theme or a story is a great way to get me to choose that particular ship~ ^v^
-2D only, I work a lot better with it and can adjust stuff much easier as well.
-This is a rarepair mep, so if you have a ship that you never ever see anyone else edit, or you wanna give some lesser used characters some love and make a new ship, go right ahead~ I will not be accepting any Ariel/Jim levels of popular ships so please dont ask for anything like that.
-Straight, slash, femslash, and poly are all allowed~
-Characters can NOT repeat, there are tons of characters to choose from, but repeating movies is fine, so if Ive already accepted a ship with Aladdin then Im not gunna refuse Jasmine.
-Be creative, but try not to give me a ship where one or both of the characters have very little screentime so its difficult to edit please.

First off, holy hell, never have I had so much going on at one time than the entire time I worked on this. I underestimated how much Id need to do, blocking took way too long, pretty much every day I was taken from editing to do things between helping family to work, and a heavy case of depression hit me extremely hard. Despite all this I tried to put 100% into the shots I could finish thanks to the encouragement from my friends and especially Meg who kept cheering me on, but still there wasnt enough time in the day to tackle such an ambitious video.
In the end I had to cut out a full minute of Alexs day and her reasons for getting on the boat, as well as leaving the last minute of the video still raw, but it was either do that, or hand in something even more incomplete. I want to finish the full video at some point because Im really proud of the full cut, but that wont be coming out for a while depending on how the results go today and because Im probably going to sleep for a week.

Name: Alexis (Alex) Bradshaw
Age: 24
Backstory: Alex has been living with her ex-boyfriend Morgan for almost five years, a situation she cant stand but has no other choice to stay. Having not caught on to his toxic behaviour until it was too late, she resents him and only finds brief solace in her job at one of the local brothers, having been forced to work there to support the both of them. Its there where she meets Kalama (previously claimed by Wonderland Star), and Lillie (claimed by VulpeProductions), and the three become close and find comfort in each other despite their unhappy lives. Alex and Lillie eventually start up a relationship, but thanks to her past with Morgan she finds it hard to admit to herself that her feelings are true and that she deserves to find any happiness thanks to the biggest mistake shed ever made five years ago.
Shes at work when she hears that the boat heading for Roanoke is heading back, and after a lot of self-doubt and crushed hope (unfortunately not shown) she makes her way to the dock, leaving behind her mistakes in the hopes of travelling to the New World and finding her mother and younger sister, who made the trip previously without her. It isnt until night falls and she walks away from the gathered other travelers that she notices Lillie, who had been missing for a couple weeks, crying by herself, but before they can talk the storm hits and effectively distracts her from her missing friend.

In the full video I had a lot of plotting with Star over Alex and Kalamas friendship, but with her audition running out and Amalthea being unclaimed, I ended up having to cut out their work discussion and their meeting on the boat. She still appears during the storm because I didnt want to disrupt the flow of the original block and cut the song even more and risk it sounding disjointed, so I cant wait to show off their planned scenes in the final video. Another thing Im sad about is having to trim out the shots of the other contestants, I managed to get a few in thanks to Vaider, but man do I miss the shots of everyone waving to the crowd.
I hope that my schedule calms down and that the worst is behind me now, so if I do get in then I wont run into this problem again, cause this was the wooooorst having to skip sleep on the final night and still seeing so little done in the timeline.")
