Flashback to 2012: I made Illuminated and got to work on this video, my little heart full of excitement and wonder at working with Sherlock. Fast forward to now and the video is finally done. There's been a whole bunch of reasons as to why it took me four years to finish the final minute+ that only took me a little over a day to complete, like not having a proper computer, all my footage/files being split up across three hard drives, getting a new laptop, updating all my clips to bluray quality, TIME AND OTHER PROJECTS TAKING PRIORITY, and then some, but the main thing is that it's complete and it's everything I wanted it to be all those years ago.
I know it's not as fancy as what I can come up with now in terms of Moriarty's projection and all that, but I've been rewatching the preview render for four years and even if I did take the time to recreate every shot (there's 27 of them altogether!) I feel like I'd lose a bit of that old charm the original had :/
By the way, there's an alternate ending to this video! I'm posting the unlisted link on my tumblr seeing as it's just the ending that's changed and I don't want two videos on here that are 95% the exact same, so if you want to see how it'd end when things go absolutely wrong, head over here youtube.com/watch?v=Z2O9yMFo88M uvu

-Jim Moriarty kills himself, it's never explained why
-Sherlock is the only one who thinks he's still alive
-They take the Baskerville case after his death, and instead of leaving his system the drug ends up staying inside Sherlock long after the case is solved; this causes him to start hallucinating, starting as dreams and eventually growing into fake texts, calls, and a projection of Moriarty himself that Sherlock repeatedly converses with
-John doesn't catch on that it's just the gas and thinks that Sherlock is genuinely losing his mind over Moriarty's death
-Under the influence of the drug, Sherlock not only puts John in danger by making him think that he's being a hero, but he starts to see Moriarty in total strangers as well, causing him to attack them in a blind panic
-When Sherlock is made aware of the drug his logic overcomes all and he is able to power through it enough to help him through the remains of it in his system
Because the texts are a little hard to see at times, here they all are:

-1:48 - Sent: I know you're alive. SH / Leave John out of this. SH
-2:27 - Come and play. JM
I had plans to make another Sherlock au this month but I don't think I'm quite ready yet; despite knowing the story by heart and desiring to make it after 4 years as well I don't think I have all the footage I need just yet, and a visual theme has yet to be decided. I really want to work on it, but I might have to wait a little while longer still, sadly. After this I'll be working on a Back to the Future au that I've been dying to work on since Running Up That Hill, and if I get that done in a timely matter (it's gunna have its fair share of manips) I'll be going back to the two Teen Titans videos I started last month. I'll be posting lots of updates on everything on my tumblr so tune in if you're interested~

Little warning for a depiction of a self-harm threat.
Okay so, as insanely proud of this one as I am, I was miserable as fuck making this you guys. At first I was just going to make a canon edit for Terra after jumping around between her or Raven or even Star, but I got halfway through the block when I decided that I was going to do the theme to the best of my abilities and made it an honest vent, although the beginning still has the original canon clips I timed cause they still fit really well.
Ive had some bad years but that last year of highschool still remains one of my very worst, and it was like a nightmare translating some of those moments into manips for the first time. It brought back a lot of reasons why I am the way I am as an adult and how I view love and friendship, so like all my vents and super personal videos Ill probably unlist this one too in a couple years or so. For now itll remain up because again, Im really proud of it and I want to share all my hard work for the time being. Ill be sharing the effectless gifs to my tumblr as well seeing as they get pretty obscured.
I wont go into any major details, but for once I ended up going with Terra as myself (OG/Titan as the past, student as the present) instead of Rae or Star, while the others represent my friendship group in that last year. Star is kinda a special case cause once again she plays my first online friend, and Cyborg is like a misc friend who doesnt represent anyone in particular. Robin plays my best friend who hurt me so bad it still stings, and BB plays someone who turned out to be a nice guy but not a good friend at all in the end. Rae plays the depiction of all my current friends and the new people I meet, and how because of that one bad year I have a hard time believing them when they say theyll stay.
Ive been working on myself for years now and have been surrounded by the nicest and most genuine people Ive ever met these last few years, and I cant thank them enough for being there for me even when I pull away and find it hard to talk. I love and appreciate you all, thank you for showing me what real love is like.")
