We finally found out who Echidna’s parents are in Re:Zero Arc 10, and the reveal is far more surprising than expected. Subaru, Beatrice, and the others search for Echidna’s soul alteration research at Kugelschreiber Castle, a hidden dimension accessed through a special door near the Flugel Tree. There, Beatrice reveals that Hector, the Warlock of Melancholy, was actually Echidna’s father, while Pandora, the Witch of Vainglory, was her mother. We also explain why Beatrice is only revealing this information to Subaru now and how his fear of reopening her old wounds kept him from asking about her past.
